Welcome to the Pleasure Gardens!

From the makers of Frank's Closet comes a new musical set in London's Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens. Opening July 2012 at Hoxton Hall

The Mask of Joy is a musical adaptation of Max Beerbohm's The Happy Hypocrite, the story of a man who dons a mask for love – and by using a disguise, reveals his true self.

Set in the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens on a single night, The Mask of Joy throws light on a period when London attracted the attention of the world, in a place that was a synonym for groundbreaking and extravagant public entertainment.
